Below you will find answers to many common questions about Giving Day 2019.
What is Louisiana Tech Giving Day?
Louisiana Tech Giving Day is an annual University-wide fundraising event that lasts ONE DAY. Its ultimate goal is to inspire students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to make a gift to the University or to colleges and departments on campus that are meaningful to them. For ONE DAY we encourage your, the Tech Family, to come together as a community and show your support!
Why should I participate in Louisiana Tech Giving Day?
Donor support is critical to sustaining the same opportunities and student experience that Louisiana Tech is proud to offer its students. Donor support makes it possible to help students attend Louisiana Tech through scholarships. No matter the size of your gift, you can truly make a difference for current and future Bulldogs!
How do I donate?
You can either click on the Give Now button at the top of the website or scroll to the bottom and choose an area of interest to learn more and choose a specific designation for your gift.
I already give to Louisiana Tech. Why am I being asked to give again?
Philanthropic support makes a difference in all areas of campus, and we appreciate ALL of our current donors! However, we ask that you join together with other members of the Tech Family and consider making a one-time additional gift in support of our giving day.
Do I have to make a gift online?
While making your gift online is preferred and allows your gift to be reflected immediately in the giving day total, we can also take credit cards over the phone or you can have a check delivered to the Louisiana Tech University Foundation at the Marbury Alumni Center. Just call 318-255-7950 with any questions.
I'm not an alumnus of Louisiana Tech. Can I still give?
Of course! Louisiana Tech strives to make a positive impact regionally and nationally, making everyone a stakeholder in its success. The Tech Family extends to current students, parents, faculty, staff, and even community supporters! If you believe in the mission of Louisiana Tech and its impact, make a gift today!
Can I make more than one gift?
Absolutely! Make sure to select the "add another designation" button and add as many gifts as you would like.
What are giving day challenges?
Through their pledged gifts, a group of generous donors hope to increase the impact of support to Louisiana Tech students. Meeting their challenge with unlock their gift!

Can I make a gift before Wednesday, May 1, 2019, and have it count toward Giving Day?
Absolutely! Click here to make a gift on our main giving page. Your gift will be tallied with the gifts given on May 1st and will count toward our overall total!
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! The Louisiana Tech University Foundation is an exempt organization, as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. You will receive an automated receipt upon completion of your online gift to the email address that you provide.
When will my credit card be charged?
Immediately! Your card will be charged upon finalizing your gift.
What if I don't see the area I want to donate on this list?
If you do not see the specific area you would like to support, please contact Katie McGowan at katie@latechalumni.org and let her know where you would like to designate your gift. She will coordinate with University Advancement staff to have your Loyal Blue passion added to the website.
What address should I use?
Be sure to enter the address that is associated with the credit card you're using; otherwise the transaction could decline.
