Giving Day 2019

Craig Henry, English '70, will match dollar for dollar up to $2,500 for gifts to the Jonathan Donehoo Memorial Fund on Giving Day. This fund goes towards study abroad programs. #TechItaly embarks on their journey to Rome, Florence, Siena, and other locations this Summer from June 23 – July 16.

Susan Pincus will generously match dollar for dollar up to $2,500 for gifts to the New School of Music. Please donate to the School of Music General Use fund.

The Chemical Engineering Industry Advisory Board will match every dollar given to the ChemE Program up to $5,000.

Jason D. Smith, Finance '90, MBA ’95, will generously match dollar for dollar up to $2,500 for gifts from College of Business alumni to the Business Excellence Fund.

Former Bulldog football player Boyd Dalrymple and his wife Ashley will generously match dollar for dollar every gift donated to Athletics up to a total of $5,000. Make your gift and double the impact!

Kenn Kotara, Architecture ‘90 and Masters ‘93, will generously match dollar for dollar up to $5,000 for gifts to scholarships for the School of Design in Studio Art and Graphic Design.

Linda Perez Clark, College of Education ’88, will match dollar for dollar up to $3,000 for gifts to the Mary Margaret Livingston Scholarship to support an undergraduate student in Psychology & Behavioral Science to honor the impact she had on Clark’s career by encouraging her to attend law school.

Steve Craig, Accounting ’84 and MAcc ’85, will generously match dollar for dollar up to $2,500 for gifts to the WRLDINVSN Scholarship Fund. WRLDINVSN began as a way for alumni Nicholas Clark and Marlon Watts to support their families, and the business venture has continued today as part of a movement to inspire others. The WRLDINVSN and College of Business teams recently partnered to design an exclusive COB t-shirt, with the proceeds establishing the WRLDINVSN Scholarship Fund to benefit a business major.

Alumni of the EcoCar program will match every dollar up to $2,350 for all gifts given to the EcoCar program on Giving Day.

Bo and Ricci Grimes will match dollar for dollar up to $5,000 for every gift donated to the Athletics Disaster Relief Fund. Make your gift and double the impact!

Phillip and Melanie Parker challenge you to make a gift to Athletics! 50 gifts will unlock $5,000.

Chris Martin, Dean of the College of Business, challenges 50 alumni and friends to support the Dean’s Discretionary Fund. These funds provide Dr. Martin with the flexible resources needed to be nimble and respond to creative opportunities, urgent needs, and emerging dreams. If 50 alumni and friends accept this challenge and make a gift to the Dean’s Discretionary Fund, Dr. Martin will personally give $1,000.

Rusty Mabry ’79 and his wife Danna Harris Mabry ’82 and ’85 challenge their fellow BCM/BSU friends to give to the fund of their choice. When 20 BCM/BSU alumni give at least $100 each, they will generously match the total with $2,000.

Margaret Evans, Sociology '73, will match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 for gifts to Liberal Arts Graduate Scholarship Fund.

The Construction Engineering Technology Industry Advisory Board will match every dollar given to CET up to $2,000 on Louisiana Tech Giving Day.

If Chemical Engineering meets the $5,000 matching challenge, this will unlock an additional $5,000 grant to the Chemical Engineering program.

Lawrence Higginbotham, ’80 and ’96, and Alice Higginbotham, ’79 and ’82, will generously match dollar for dollar up to $3,000 for gifts to the Retention Scholarship Fund in the College of Education. Retention Scholarships help College of Education students overcome unexpected, “life happens” obstacles by providing financial assistance as needed to get back on track.

Forestry Advisory Board Member Mervin Parker and his wife Freida will match dollar for dollar every gift donated to Forestry’s Scholarship Fund up to a total of $4,000. Make your gift to recruit incoming freshmen and continue to grow Tech’s Forestry Program!

Veterinarian, Trey Underwood, and wife, Jessica of Pet Star Animal Care, Inc. will match dollar-for-dollar every gift donated to the Animal Science, Pre-Veterinarian Scholarship Fund up to a total of $2,000. Make your gift to help support deserving upperclassmen who are motivated and working to become veterinarians.

Jeremy and Kimberly McDaniel challenge all fellow Bulldogs that have Legacy Bulldogs to donate $100 per Legacy Bulldog to the University Excellence Fund.

Don Schillinger, Dean of the College of Education, challenges alumni and friends to support the Education Excellence Fund on Giving Day! He’s asking for 75 gifts of any size to this fund which provides critical support for COE students, faculty and staff, facilities, and programs. If 75 alumni and friends step up to the challenge, the Dean and his wife, Mrs. Ammi Schillinger, will personally give $1,000 in gratitude for the 75 donors who came before them and in support of Giving Day and the College he so proudly serves.
