Your Gift Matters to the College of Applied and Natural Sciences.
The generosity of our donors is felt throughout The College of Applied and Natural Sciences.
It is visible where our students visit every day—like our collaborative work areas, Parkinson's Resource Center connecting people, programs, ideas and resources, and our Good Nutrition Food Pantry. It is visible in the positive results of our students who are involved in our College organizations like the Student Dietetic Association, Nursing Ambassadors, and our alumni to student mentoring programs in Biology, Pre-Vet, Nursing and Health Informatics & Information Management.
While you may not have had the chance to personally meet a scholarship recipient or a student who has benefited from our different programs, we hear about their life-changing experiences and their new enriched perspectives daily, which were made possible in large part by our generous donors.
Through your gifts, we can provide these unparalleled experiences. Curious how your support directly makes an impact for our students? Here are just a few examples:
- Your support provides academic advancement through the Parkinson's Resource Center (addressing specific needs by providing resources for people diagnosed with Parkinson's, as well as creating a better learning experience for students.)
- Your support provides non-perishable food items for the Good Nutrition Food Pantry, meeting the nutritional demands of Tech students who experience food insecurities and need extra food resources.
- Your support also supports other centers in the College of Applied and Natural Sciences by allowing students to learn while engaging with external groups, strengthening their education and outreach opportunities. The ENRICH Center (Education and Research in Children’s Health) created Bulldog Book Club for preschool children that encourages early literacy, one of many outreach programs, ECEC (Early Childhood Education Center), provides real-life application for students, The VISTA Center (Visual Integration of Science Through Art – resides in the College of Liberal Arts, collaborative partner with the College of Applied and Natural Sciences) describes the multidisciplinary facets of science and art.
- Your support helps the “More Tech Nurses” Program, which will help recruit and expand the nursing program at Louisiana Tech University, in addition to enhancing faculty development opportunities and innovative initiatives in nursing education, such as Nursing Ambassadors for the Parkinson’s Resource Center and the Mentoring Men in Nursing.
When your gift matters, we mean it! These, and dozens of other examples, cannot happen without the financial support donors provide to The College of Applied and Natural Sciences. Will you support our students and faculty today by making a gift on this Giving Day? With our help, we will continue to educate the next generation of exceptional leaders, scientist, and professionals for our state and nation.
