COMPETE!
Louisiana Tech student-athletes achieved a record APR of 987 over the 2021-22 academic year and completed 957.5 community service hours. In addition to setting records in the classroom, our Bulldogs and Lady Techsters collected 3 Conference-USA Championships, 2 NCAA post-season appearances, and 42 all-conference selections over the past year.
The Louisiana Tech Athletic Club was established in 2008. LTAC is the athletic fundraising arm of the Division of University Advancement, and it's mission is to provide 300+ student-athletes a first-class experience and support in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence.
The Athletics Academic Center will be located in the north endzone of Joe Aillet Stadium and will be a two-story facility that houses the academic arm of Louisiana Tech’s Athletics Department. Plans are for the first floor to be designed to be a multifunctional space for personal-growth and career-development programming. It will also include a food-prep station and a large open multi-purpose area. The second floor will hold office space and state-of-the-art study environments, including a computer lab.
The facility will include 14,300-square feet of conditioned space and an additional 8,000-square feet of non-conditioned usable space that includes first and second-floor balconies, food-service locations, and restrooms.
Plans are also in place for areas of the facility to be utilized on home football game days as an area for T-Club members to gather and socialize before games.
Construction of the new Student-Athlete Success Center will begin in Spring 2024 with estimated completion by Fall 2025. Naming opportunities for the facility are available.
With the rising cost to compete in Division 1 athletics, gifts of all sizes allow us to continue to provide Championship Resources to our student-athletes while instilling in them our mission of “Culture, Class and Competitive Excellence.”
